AIR COOLED CHARGING TECHNOLOGY

The cooler a battery is when charging, the faster it can be used again. Every battery heats up when used, which impedes an immediate, effective recharge. The new, patented AIR COOLED charging technology takes this problem out of the equation, since the battery is cooled down before and throughout the charging process. This occurs via a series of ducts in the battery and a fan based in the charger which draws in cool air from the surrounding environment through and around the battery cells and then through and out of the charger. The charging process thus becomes around 30% quicker, the batteries last longer and you save yourself the hassle of hanging around waiting for your batteries to charge. Another outstanding new feature is the refresh function (only with ACS 15 Plus). This feature brings the performance-impairing unbalanced charge levels of the cells back into line. This ‘cell balancing’ process should be carried out once every two weeks with heavy use or once a month for moderate to light use. AIR COOLED is a technology that only Metabo can offer across its range, right down to 12 V! In conjunction with Li-Power, it forms what is possibly the most effective battery system on the market.
