ULTIMATE EFFICIENCY!

Greater efficiency with more power at considerably less weight: that’s Li-Power. A Li-Power battery supplies around 96% efficiency, 16% more than NiCd or NiMH, as a result it can provide approximately 40% more energy than NiCd & NiMH batteries. At the same time, it is around 40% lighter. A battery pack with 18 V and a capacity of 2.2 Ah weighs approx. 700 g – a “normal” NiMH battery pack weighs just over 1 kg! But that’s not all Li-Power can do: thanks to its lower self discharge rate, a Li-Power battery can be used immediately at full power even after a long storage period. When you charge the battery, neither the memory effect or the lazy battery effect arise. And unlike NiMH batteries, Li-Power batteries work from –20 °C to 50 °C without any problems (just like NiCd).

Patented multi-function display
All information on one display: capacity level, temperature monitoring – (too hot – 4 LED’s flash), overload warning (4 LED’s flash) and automatic display when a low cell capacity level is reached (1 LED flashes).

Terminal neck
Compatible with existing Metabo cordless tools within the Metabo AIR COOLED family. Metabo Li-ion batteries must only be used with Metabo Li-ion chargers.

Circuit board
Gold plated, resin sealed circuit boards of the highest quality.

Electronics
The sophisticated circuit board mounted on the top of the cell pack provides 24/7 cell protection against overcharge, deep discharge, overload and overheating. Due to the high quality components used Metabo has set the deep discharge and overload protection limits to a level where maximum possible performance is delivered while also providing optimum useful service life of the cell pack.

Cage construction
Foam strips on the top and bottom of the cell cradle provides protection against shock. The cell pack itself has no direct contact with the outer casing providing maximum cell protection.
